The Borough of Ridley Park was incorporated in 1887.
Ridley Park is a small suburban Philadelphia community founded by the owners of the Pennsylvania Railroad as a summer retreat. We are located near I-95 and I-476 with train service to Philadelphia and to Washington, D.C. Our community has beautiful Victorian homes located in the Historic District. We have churches of all denominations located within Ridley Park’s 1 square mile. We have a police department consisting of 10 full-time officers and supplemented by part-time officers and a fire department with four award-winning pieces of equipment. Our community has 3 schools and a hospital located within our boundaries. We have an active Athletic Club with many fields to host games for the children of our community. Additionally, we have a beautiful lake where you can walk, sit, read, relax and fish.
