Single Stream Recycling
Recycling is every Wednesday. Ridley Park Borough is single stream recycling. All cardboard, plastics, glass and paper are collected in one can. Please review what items are collected!
Place recycling at the curb by 7am on Wednesday.
Recyclable Materials Accepted:
Aluminum, Cartons, and metal cans including #1, #2, #4, #5, and #7 plastic food and Beverage containers (caps removed), phone books, magazines, newspapers, brochures and inserts (no plastic bags), greeting cards, paperboard boxes (pasta, cereal, and tissue), regular and junk mail, file folders, glass bottles and jars, paper towel rolls, paperback books, and loose metal jar lids and bottle caps.
No need to remove stamps, address labels, cellophane address windows, paper clips, staples, metal fasteners, rubber bands, plastic tabs, or spiral bindings.
Do Not place plastic bags, scrap metal, plastic 6-pack holders, plastic microwave trays, needles or syringes, window panes, ceramic and Pyrex dishware, mirrors, paint, pesticides, oil and cleansers, address label sheets or stickers, waxed paper or waxed cardboard, Styrofoam or paper go-to containers, food waste, organic material, or electronic waste (batteries, cell phones, etc.) out with your recycling.
Latex paint is NOT considered hazardous waste.
Safely dispose of the paint by removing top, place outside (NOT near children or pets), and allow to harden. For full cans, stir in kitty litter until all paint is absorbed. Empty cans (without lids) should be placed in a box and put out with regular trash.
Yard Waste Collection
Yard waste will no longer have a special collection day. Yard waste will be collected with your regular trash.
Bulk Trash Collection
Bulk trash pickups need to be scheduled on your second trash day of the week and paid for through Ridley Township (not Ridley Borough) for the following items:
Televisions (any size) $45
Computer Monitors (any size) $45
Refrigerator (any size) $30
Freezer $30
Air Conditioner $30
Dehumidifier $30
Any Item Containing Freon $30
Washer $20
Dryer $20
Dishwasher $20
Hot Water Heater $20
Any Metal Appliance $20
Each additional item scheduled on the same day will be $10

*Other household items (couch, furniture, mattresses, box springs, etc.) can be placed at the curb with your regular trash on your regular trash schedule. *
Call Ridley Township at (610) 534-4800 Monday-Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm to schedule, visit the Ridley Township Municipal Building at 100 E. MacDade Blvd, Folsom, PA 19033, or mail a check.
Make checks payable to “Ridley Township” and a note with name, address of pickup, phone number, item to be disposed, and regular trash day to be scheduled on.
An “Authorized” sticker will be issued to be placed on the items for pickup and placed out on the scheduled date.
For residents who have trash collection on Monday & Thursday-Thursday is your bulk trash day. For residents with regular trash collection on Tuesday & Friday- Friday is your bulk trash day. *Schedule may be affected by holidays. *
