Storm Water Management

Never put anything into storm sewers, including oil, paint, soap, debris, leaves, etc.  Storm sewers do not go to the sewer plant, but discharge directly into our streams.  You might be pouring oil into your own drinking water!  Additional stormwater runoff and pollution prevention tips are available at  www.delcocd.org,  www.dep.state.pa.us  and www.epagov./nps/toolbox/beta.

Help prevent stormwater pollution and Keep Our Streams and Lake Clean! Stormwater polluntants find their way into where we fish, where we swim, and the water we drink. Everything that goes into our storm drains, including pet waste, grass clippings, fertilizers, car wash soap, and sediment, makes its way UNTREATED straight into our streams.  Stormwater is the leading cause of water pollution in Pennsylvania.
