Ridley Park Borough is located in Delaware County Pennsylvania, just south of the Philadelphia International Airport. The population of the borough is 7,196 (according to the 2000 Census report) and it encompasses 1.1 square miles. Within our borough we have (1) hospital, Taylor Hospital, a central business district, Interstate 95, beautiful Victorian homes and several parks, the largest of which, East-lake Park, is highlighted by the Ridley Lake, part of the Crum Creek.
The Ridley Park Police Department consists of 10 full-time and 8 part-time sworn officers, 2 Administrative Assistants, and 2 Parking Enforcement Officers. We maintain a fleet of 8 police vehicles, and are housed in a modern 5,000 square foot station. Our Officers and staff are committed to maintaining the high quality of life and exceptional level of service that our citizens deserve.
Our department is a community policing agency, and is very pro-active within our community.
We offer various community based programs, such as a Youth Aid Panel for first time Juvenile offenders, “Heroin Alert” and “Survival 101″ educational programs. The department also has a mountain bike unit consisting of 3 bikes.
